Studio Opaque² is an interior design firm which was founded in 2022 by Maria Louiza Biri & Yana Kay.  Our aim is to create a visual and aesthetic journey through the spaces we design. “Opaque” means not able to be seen through; not transparent. We are focused on the essence of the design process and materiality. Our logo the seashell has held deep symbolic meaning in art and literature throughout human history. What symbolizes for us is the unconscious and its associations with emotions. Thanks to its connection to the sea and water, it is also evocative of peace and tranquility.  Our portfolio ranges from residential and commercial restorations and renovations, hospitality design, yacht refit and objects.
